About Samantha

I’m an Atlanta-based journalist and storyteller for CNN International, with more than a decade of experience producing award-winning, multi-platform content. I’ve reported across the US and around the world -- including in India, Brazil, Japan, Kuwait, Thailand, South Korea, Jamaica, Norway, England, Hong Kong, France, and the UAE.

My first book, IN THE BLOOD, FLOWERS BLOOM: A Post-War Story of Forgiveness (working title), is coming to PublicAffairs in Spring 2025.

Currently, I am a Senior Writer & Editor for CNN International Productions, the global features unit. A graduate of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, I also have an MFA in Narrative Nonfiction from the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism & Mass Communication.

Story interests include space, sports, health & wellness, international affairs, WWII history, and finding inspiration in both the ordinary and the extraordinary.
